Welcome To The Anchor Education And Youth Centre

Anchor is a dynamic and expanding youth centre for boys who want to develop their abilities and skills to the full.
Throughout the year activities are held on Saturday afternoons for juniors, and leadership courses for older teenagers.

All the activities at the Anchor Youth Centre are informative, in that they help participants develop their abilities (intellectual, social, cultural, spiritual, and sporting).

Each summer an attractive package of activities is on offer to help participants make good use of their time in a positive, Christian, and challenging environment.

The spiritual formation in the club is entrusted to Opus Dei, a personal prelature of the Catholic Church.

A project run by pupils from Rockbrook School and members of the Anchor Youth Centre, recently unveiled its findings at the EU Kids Online Conference in the London School of Economics on Thursday 11 June 2009.

The report is the culmination of 8 months of international research by five Irish teenagers into how minors use the popular video hosting website YouTube.
